Central Java's Exports Increase by 19.71%

The export value of Central Java in November 2021 was US$ 1,083.13 million, an increase of 19.71 percent compared to exports in October 2021. Head of the Statistics Indonesia (BPS) of Central Java Province, Adhi Wiriana said, compared to exports in November 2020, it increased by 57.33 percent. "Non-oil and gas exports in November 2021 reached US$ 1,067.90 million, an increase of US$ 180.30 million or 20.31 percent compared to the value of non-oil and gas exports in October 2021," he said, Monday (3/1/2022).


He explained, in terms of volume, Central Java's exports in November 2021 rose 5.56 percent compared to exports in October 2021, this was due to an increase in the volume of non-oil and gas exports. The volume of exports of non-oil and gas commodities increased by 6.65 percent from 302,000 tons in October 2021 to 322,006 tons in November 2021. On the other hand, exports of oil and gas commodities decreased by 4.05 percent in volume, contributed by oil products, for other oil and gas commodities such as gas, natural gas and crude oil were not recorded during November 2021. "When compared to the total volume of exports in November 2020, the total volume of exports in November 2021 was recorded to have decreased by 4.42 percent," he added.


Meanwhile, he continued, the volume of oil and gas exports decreased by 61.68 percent from 84,760 tons in November 2020 to 32,480 tons in November 2021. In contrast, the volume of non-oil and gas exports increased by 12.54 percent, in November 2020 by 286,170 tons to 322,006 tons in November 2021. Meanwhile, the three largest non-oil and gas export destinations in November 2021 include the United States with a value of US$ 443.81 million, followed by Japan with US$ 90.92 million, and China with US$ 77.62 million, with the third contribution of 56.59 percent during January-November 2021. For information, Central Java's trade balance in November 2021 was a deficit of US$ 155.79 million. The oil and gas trade balance experienced a deficit of US$ 507.53 million, while the non-oil and gas trade balance experienced a surplus of US$ 351.74 million.
