The Potential of Business Super-ecosystem Strengthens the Digital Economy of MSMEs

Bhinneka as a pioneer of e-commerce in Indonesia is proactively carrying out digital transformation by building a business super-ecosystem. Throughout 2021, Bhinneka recorded a number of contributions to the digital economy in all segments of business actors and agencies, from MSMEs, academics, associations, private companies, to city governments. Micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) are one of the segments that are of concern to Bhinneka because of their potential integral contribution to the Indonesian economy. Together with the Mojokerto, Ternate, and Surakarta City Governments, Bhinneka has built a mini marketplace that is a place for local MSMEs to accelerate digital transformation, and enter the realm of the formal economy. Through this collaboration, Bhinneka facilitates the procurement of goods and services through e-Procurement services, including for local MSME products through the Procurement Defense platform. As recorded on the Bela Procurement website, Bhinneka is in the top 5 government partners with a total transaction value of Rp513,797,861 (as of December 24, 2021).

Meanwhile, the success rate of procurement of government goods and services served by Bhinneka reached 87%. This figure also contributes to the overall value of Bhinneka transactions for the procurement of goods and services, as well as the Maintenance, Repairs, and Operations (MRO) product category for the government, private sector, and other businesses. E-Procurement services not only facilitate the procurement of goods for government agencies, but at the same time help market local MSME businesses and products to become providers for government needs.

Bhinneka has also accommodated student entrepreneurship and its academic community throughout 2021. Among them, Bunda Mulia University (UBM), President University (PresUniv), Indonesian Islamic University (UII), Indonesian Computer University (UNIKOM) Bandung, University of National Development Veterans Jakarta (UPNVJ), and the University of Muhammadiyah Sidoarjo (UMSIDA). In addition, Bhinneka has also provided assistance and training to more than 5,000 business actors. The training is part of the synergy between the Proudly Made in Indonesia (BBI) program and student MSMEs who are members of the Campus Marketplace along with a number of MSMEs fostered by Bhinneka partner universities. Bhinneka also participates in the Kemdikbudristek Merdeka Campus program. A total of 39 student interns are still active until now. Not only engaging in direct business learning, internship students also get enrichment of soft skills and hard skills as their provisions in the world of work. All business solutions presented by Bhinneka aim to develop MSME partners for # JadiJuara, including meeting consumer needs in sharing moments. One of them, such as Harbolnas 12.12, became a significant moment in boosting the level of transactions and public spending. During Harbolnas 12.12 this year, Bhinneka recorded an average spending value of 1.5 million users of more than IDR 3 million per transaction.
