Bali is Ready to Accept Foreign Tourists with Prokes Discipline

The Deputy Governor of Bali, Tjokorda Oka Artha Ardhana Sukawati, emphasized that his area was very ready to accept foreign tourists. This is supported by people who are disciplined in implementing health protocols and the achievement of Covid-19 vaccination is above the target. "Not only that, the tourism industry players have also equipped themselves with CHSE certification. For this reason, Bali is very ready to receive visits from foreign tourists," said the Deputy Governor of Bali when receiving an honorary visit from the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic Martin TLAPA in Denpasar, Wednesday (8/12). Starting the family-friendly meeting, the Deputy Governor of Bali, who is usually called Cok Ace, expressed his appreciation for the visit of the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic and his entourage to Bali and saw firsthand the current situation and condition of the Island of the Gods. "It can be seen that the people of Bali strictly adhere to the health protocols to prevent the spread of Covid-19 by always wearing masks," he said.

In addition, the Covid-19 vaccination rate also exceeded the vaccination target and made Bali Province the first province in Indonesia with a vaccination rate exceeding 100 percent. Cok Ace added that the Covid-19 pandemic had a very significant impact on Bali's economic growth. Many Balinese people have lost their jobs and the business sector has gone out of business. "But we are still trying to get up and make this momentum for self-introspection, improving and reorganizing Bali tourism so that in the future Bali tourism will become sustainable and quality tourism," he said. He realized that the current Covid-19 condition in the world was not under control, especially with the Omicron variant, quarantine rules and limited flight access which made the tourism sector unable to recover. "We really hope that in 2022, conditions will improve much so that foreign tourist visits to Bali will increase, including foreign tourists visiting from the Czech Republic," said the man who is also the chairman of PHRI Bali.

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, Martin TLAPA, said that his party was very happy to come to Bali and see firsthand the current condition of Bali. "While we were in Bali, we saw that the Balinese people were very disciplined in using masks. Not only that, we were very amazed by the natural charm and Balinese culture and the hospitality of the people," he said. "Our residents really hope to be able to travel to Bali as soon as possible. This island is very famous in our country," he said. His party really wants to establish cooperation with Bali to increase economic growth for both parties, both cooperation in the health sector, environmentally friendly technology and other sectors including the tourism sector. The meeting which was also attended by Ambassador of the Czech Republic Jaroslav DOLECEK, Director of the Asia Pacific Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic Eliska ZIGOVA and his staff ended with a group photo and exchange of souvenirs.
