President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) gave his remarks at the Launching of the Kerthi Economic Roadmap in Bali, Denpasar, on December 3, 2021. Jokowi said that Indonesia must continue to preserve culture and natural resources in order to implement the government's program, namely the green economy. "We must continue the spirit in glorifying the human nature and culture to welcome the future and we have a strong commitment to implementing a green economy. This is the power of Bali, the strength of Indonesia is here," said Jokowi in his remarks at the launch of the Economic Roadmap. Kerthi Bali uploaded on the Presidential Secretariat's YouTube channel, on Saturday, December 4, 2021. "And by saying Bismillahirahman nirrohim, today I am launching the Kerthi economic roadmap in Bali," he continued. Furthermore, Jokowi revealed that the Balinese economy during the pandemic experienced disruptions to the tourism sector.
This is because Bali is the province most affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. "Bali's economy experienced the deepest contraction compared to other provinces, because indeed the tourism sector that Bali relies on is the sector that is the first to be affected, and the sector that is the last to recover," said Jokowi. Jokowi explained that the tourism sector experienced the sharpest decline compared to other sectors. In addition, Jokowi explained that the agricultural sector during the pandemic experienced positive growth compared to the tourism sector. “In the midst of the tourism sector which suffered a very big blow, the agricultural sector was able to survive. Even positive growth compared to other sectors. We all need to know details like this and what we have to do we all have to understand," said Jokowi. Jokowi reminded that the security and comfort of the tourism sector is very important to pay attention to. “Travelers will definitely avoid crowds and too frequent close contact. Because no matter what, tourists must be assured that their pleasure in traveling is guaranteed, their health is guaranteed and they are not infected by the virus," said Jokowi.
In order to recover the tourism sector from the impact of the pandemic, Jokowi will plan the construction of a Green Industry a Park which will break the record for the largest development in the world. "And we will work on it starting this month, we will start later in the middle of this month we will build a Green Industry a Park in North Kalimantan which will be the largest in the world, we start and we have to start," said Jokowi. At the launch of the Kerthi Bali Economic Roadmap, the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment, the Minister of State Secretary, the Minister of Health, the Minister of National Development Planning, the Minister of Communication and Information, along with the Minister of Investment or the Head of BKPM were also present.
