Helping Economic Recovery, LPEI Boosts Birth of New Exporters

The efforts of the central and regional governments to encourage Indonesia's economic recovery have full support through cross-institutional collaboration that organizes training programs for business players, especially those that are export-oriented. The Indonesian Export Financing Agency (LPEI)/Indonesia Eximbank synergizes with the Directorate General of State Assets (DJKN) of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia, the Directorate General of Customs and Excise of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia, the Department of Industry and Trade, and other related institutions to provide continuous training as a series of Coaching Program activities for New Exporters (CPNE). Since 2015, this institution has provided training and assistance to nearly 1,000 export-oriented business actors in several cities in Indonesia through CPNE activities. This free training and mentoring activity is provided to export-oriented MSME players for one year in certain areas in order to increase capacity to produce new quality #LokalyangWorldwide exporters.

In 2021, LPEI through CPNE activities has provided assistance and training in several cities, namely Medan, Surakarta, Denpasar, Kendal, Demak, Manado and Bandung with the majority of business actors in the food and beverage, craft, furniture, spices and coffee commodity sectors. "To date, 75 business actors have succeeded in carrying out their first export after participating in CPNE training. It is hoped that this training can help business actors to improve and maintain product quality, open market opportunities so that they have quality standards to enter and compete in international markets. In the future, we hope that more Indonesian business players will be able to export," said Agus Windiato, LPEI's Corporate Secretary in his statement, Monday (29/11/2021). Synergy and collaboration between agencies, both central and local governments, is expected to create a strong and competitive export ecosystem.

Support Export
"One form of collaboration and synergy between LPEI and the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia, the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia, the Ministry of Industry of the Republic of Indonesia, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs of the Republic of Indonesia is the Export House located at the LPEI Surakarta Branch Office which is intended to offer solutions in carrying out export-oriented activities. ” added Maqin U. Norhadi the Managing Director in charge of the SME sector on a separate occasion. "Hopefully this synergy will be stronger to support the pace of Indonesia's exports to foreign countries, and the slogan #LokalyangMendunia makes Indonesian products and export activities stronger to reach the world," he concluded.
