The Regional Government (Pemda) of West Java (Jabar) Province won the Second Best 2021 Investment Service award in Indonesia. Meanwhile, in terms of investment realization, West Java is the highest in Indonesia, amounting to IDR 107 trillion for the period January-September 2021. The award was handed over directly by the Minister of Investment / Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) Bahlil Lahadalia to West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil in the National Coordination Meeting and Investment Service Award in Ritz-Carlton Hotel, Jakarta, Wednesday (11/24/2021). "In the context of investment realization, West Java won," said Bahlil in his speech. In January-September 2021, West Java's investment realization contributed 16.3 percent to the realization of national investment. West Java's investment realization figures that came from Foreign Investment (PMA) and Domestic Investment (PMDN) were able to create jobs during the economic recovery period in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. Bahlil targets that national investment realization next year will increase from Rp900 trillion to Rp1,200 trillion. For this reason, he encouraged regional heads and the One Stop Integrated Service and Investment Service (DPMPTSP) to jointly achieve this target. "The target for realization next year is IDR 1,200 trillion. That's why I invited the regional head and DPMPTSP in the National Coordination Meeting to pursue that target," he said.
Meanwhile, Indonesian President Joko Widodo also gave directions at the annual National Coordination Meeting. The President emphasized that all regional and service heads are able to anticipate global uncertainty due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The key to this is controlling COVID-19. The President hopes that all parties can maintain the momentum of COVID-19 control in Indonesia so that the economy grows even better. According to him, investment is the anchor of economic recovery. "Investment is the anchor of economic recovery because if we focus too much on the state budget, our deficit, even though I know Mrs. Minister of Finance is very prudent, very careful in managing our state budget. Therefore, what is outside the state budget must be mobilized, back again, investment," the President said as reported by setkab.go.id. The National Investment Coordinating Board is an annual event for the Ministry of Investment/BKPM to harmonize policies and unify visions related to investment targets as well as the latest policies that need to be understood by all central and regional agencies. Meanwhile, the 2021 investment service award is the main award in the performance assessment of one-stop integrated services and the performance of regional government business implementation acceleration (PPB). The subjects of the assessment are 17 state ministries/agencies, 34 provincial governments, 415 district governments, and 93 city governments. "I am happy that there were ministries/agencies, provinces, districts/cities, which received awards for investment, both investment realization and licensing matters," said the President.
