Kemenkumham Tightens Entrance Doors for Foreigners

The Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Kemenkumham) has tightened the entrance for Foreign Citizens (WNA) in line with the opening of restrictions by the government. The Secretary General of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, Andap Budhi Revianto, asked all regional offices and technical implementing units to tighten health protocols in the immigration process for foreigners to Indonesia. Moreover, for regional offices that are opened as immigration checkpoints for international arrivals or crossing countries. Andap said this was done to prevent the entry of new variants of Covid-19 from abroad which continued to mutate. "I ask all ASN to understand and guide the directions of the President and the Minister as well as various regulations related to implementing PPKM properly according to their duties and functions based on KDP leveling in their respective regions," Andap said while attending the Hero's Day commemoration ceremony in Jakarta, Wednesday. (10/11). "Prepare SOPs properly and continue to implement strict health protocols as a precaution against the new variant of Covid-19 A.Y.4.2 or Delta Plus," he added.


The immigration offices used as entry points for international arrivals or crossing countries are: Soekarno Hatta Airport, Hang Nadim Airport, Raja Haji Fisabilillah Airport, Ngurah Rai Airport, and Sam Ratulangi Airport. Meanwhile, the ports and Post-Border Crossings (PLBN) opened are Batam and Tanjung Pinang ports, Nunukan ports, Aruk and Entikong ports, and Motaain ports. In particular, Andap also requested that the NTB and Bali regional offices which are the entrances to the World Super Bike event and the G-20 meeting to monitor and carry out strict supervision of foreigners who come to Indonesia. It also includes preparing mitigation measures to prevent the spread of Covid-19 from abroad. "For regional offices that have international events such as the World Super Bike in Mandalika, West Nusa Tenggara and the G20 meeting in Bali to further tighten supervision, prepare anticipatory steps and implement strict health protocols," he said.
