Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo attracted 26 investors with a total investment of IDR 6 trillion in the first day of the Central Java Investment Business Forum (CJIBF) event in Semarang, Central Java. This year's CJIB was held in a hybrid manner and was attended by 265 participants from 10 countries, such as the United States, China, Australia, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Germany, India, to Spain. According to him, several companies even immediately signed investment cooperation in several areas in Central Java. Although he managed to reap trillions of rupiah in investment, Ganjar admitted that it was not easy to invite investors in the midst of the current COVID-19 pandemic.
"Moreover, now that the pandemic has improved, we will pick up the ball. CJIBF is an annual event, and because the pandemic has improved, I ask for it to be boosted again," he said, quoted from Antara, Wednesday (11/10). The number one person in Central Java said as many as 26 potential investors have expressed interest in investing in Central Java because they are considered to have enormous potential. "We continue to encourage investment to grow, including encouraging industrial areas including special economic zones in Central Java to be operationalized immediately," he added. Ganjar also asked all parties to support increasing investment in Central Java, including regional heads who must make it easier for potential investors to invest their capital.
"These facilities are what they need, social and political stability is also important for them. There should no longer be anything complicated, there are extortion and other things that make potential investors difficult," said Ganjar. Not only that, Ganjar hopes that more potential investors will enter Central Java. "Rp 6 trillion is today, and the potential will still grow because we will continue this. We provide many incentives, apart from taxes from the center, we are here to provide business convenience, ease of licensing to the preparation of special industrial areas," he concluded.
