President Joko Widodo officially attended the G-20 Summit in Rome, Italy Saturday (29/10). On the impressions at the Presidential Secretariat, a number of presidents were seen coming in turn. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan was the first to attend the event. He was seen wearing only a shirt and tie and black pants. Furthermore, several state leaders also came, including the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) Felix Tshisekedi, President of Brazil, Jair Bolsonaro, President of South Korea Moon Jae-in, and President of Rwanda Paul Kagame. Interestingly, President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) came last. He wore a white shirt and navy blue patterned tie, and a gray suit. Before Jokowi, the Sultan of Brunei Darussalam, Hassanah Bolkiah, was also present.
"President Jokowi will arrive last because next year Indonesia will become the G20 Presidency," the Presidential Secretariat wrote in the Comments column. The G20 summit is not Jokowi's only working visit to Europe. In Rome, Italy, Jokowi will participate in the G20 Summit which will be held on 30-31 October 2021. Meanwhile, in Glasgow, United Kingdom, the President will participate in the COP26 World Leaders Summit, on 1-2 November 2021. In addition, Jokowi will also conduct bilateral visit to the United Arab Emirates. "This is my first bilateral visit during the pandemic. I will use this visit to strengthen cooperation, especially in the fields of trade and investment," said Jokowi. Jokowi and his entourage will take a flight to Rome for approximately 13 hours. Jokowi is expected to arrive at Fiumicino Airport, Rome, at 17.25 Local Time (WS) and will go directly to the hotel where he is staying while in Rome, Italy.
