The Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (KKP) released 19,145.3 tons and 1.2 million quality healthy fish from various regions. Head of the Fish Quarantine, Quality Control and Fishery Products Safety (BKIPM) Rina said the shipment of products worth US$88.2 million departed from the KIPM Puspa Agro Sidoarjo installation, marking the 22nd "Indonesia One Export" activity carried out by BKIPM. "Of course this is an activity that we should be grateful for, because this moment coincides with the launch of the Blue Economy, Healthy Seas, Prosperous Indonesia," Rina said in a written statement in Jakarta, Wednesday (27/10).
Rina added, during the period from October 19 to October 25, 2021, her staff in 46 technical implementing units (UPT) throughout Indonesia issued 1,379 Health Certificates (HC). The fishery commodities exported are in the form of consumption fish and ornamental fish originating from 29 provinces in Indonesia. "Thanks to my friends in the field, by issuing HC, it means that a number of business actors are also served to guarantee the quality of food safety and fish health," continued Rina. Rina said, in Indonesia One Export of fishery products will be sent to 44 destination countries and departed from 18 sea ports and 15 airports. The products released reached 38 species, ranging from shrimp, tuna, to ornamental fish. "This export proves that the pandemic does not prevent us from continuing to provide optimal services," said Rina.
Going forward, Rina ensures that her staff will continue to work as much as possible while strengthening synergy with stakeholders in the marine and fisheries sector. He hopes that, through optimal services such as the issuance of HC certificates, good fish quarantine methods (CKIB) and ball pick-up actions for business actors, the community economy can continue to move and rise from the pandemic situation. "Exports are part of efforts to accelerate the national economy. Therefore, we will continue to move and synergize with stakeholders to maintain or even increase our exports," said Rina.
In addition to Indonesia One Exports, BKIPM also carries out Technical Guidance for novice micro-service entrepreneurs in order to gain understanding and gain access to OSS, NIB, KUSUKA and NIKI licenses which were carried out in 23 locations with a total number of 1,270 participants, Declaration of Quality Assurance in breakthrough areas Maritime Affairs and Fisheries as well as mobilizing community participation for business actors to improve community nutrition by distributing fish. This series of activities is included in the Launch of a Blue Economy, Healthy Seas, Prosperous Indonesia within the scope of BKIPM. Previously, Minister Trenggono encouraged his staff to maximize the presence of technical implementing units (UPT) spread across various regions in Indonesia. The goal is that UPT can generate economic value for the community and the country. According to him, UPT is the core of the KKP as well as a form of direct state presence in the marine and fisheries community. "The productivity of UPT is not limited to services but also generates economic value for the community and the state," said Trenggono.
