Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi said President Jokowi will start the international agenda of the 38th and 39th ASEAN Summits (KTT) which will be held on October 26-28 2021. "This is the first summit under the chairmanship of Brunei Darussalam. After the agenda, Jokowi will go to Rome, Italy, to attend the Group of Twenty (G20) Summit which will be held on 30-31 October 2021. Retno Marsudi assesses that the G20 Summit is very important for Indonesia, which will receive the chairmanship of the G20 from Italy for the next year. . "The handover will take place on the second day of the summit, which is on October 31, while the chairmanship of Indonesia or the Indonesian presidency itself will begin on December 1, 2021," he explained. At the G20 Summit in Rome, President Jokowi will present his views on three main agendas. These include global economy and health, climate change and the environment, and sustainable development. In addition, Jokowi was also specially invited to be a speaker at a side event that discussed efforts and policies to support MSMEs owned by women entrepreneurs.
Next, the official from Solo will attend the Climate Change Summit or COP26 World Leaders Summit which will be held on 1-2 November 2021 in Glasgow, Scotland. The meeting will be chaired by British Prime Minister Boris Johnson.
