This Business Forum Will Revive the Glory of Indonesian Spices

The Indonesian Spice Council (DRI) is committed to resurrecting the glory of national spices through the "Indonesia Spices Business Forum & Expo (ISBFE 2021) in the Lake Toba area, Parapat, North Sumatra on 10-12 December 2021. "There are three fixed agendas for holding ISBFE 2021, namely a national seminar on quality traditional spice products and prospects, a business contact forum, a national spice export clinic from North Sumatra and the election of an Indonesian spice ambassador," said the Chairperson of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) Province. North Sumatra Khairul Mahali as vice chairman of the North Sumatran Indonesian Spice Council (DRI) in a written statement Monday (25/10/2021). This world spice forum and expo will be attended by various components of spice stakeholders throughout Indonesia and invite other countries that have been spice processors and Indonesian export targets, including the United Arab Emirates, India, Morocco, Algeria, Singapore, Tunisia, the United States, Netherlands, Brazil, Germany to Belgium.


ISBFE 2021 is also a manifestation of President Joko Widodo's mandate so that all stakeholders of Indonesian spices work together to restore the glory of Indonesian spices. "The activity is to make direct communication for farmers, entrepreneurs, MSMEs and spice processors in a business forum that is truly concrete, measurable in improving the national economy through the spice trade, both in Indonesia and abroad," he said. This activity is scheduled to be opened by President Joko Widodo.


Meanwhile, in the framework of the World Spice Forum and Expo Business, the Indonesian Spice Council published the Book of Designating the National Spice Day on December 11 and Awakening the Glory of Indonesian Spices. The General Chair of the Indonesian Spice Council (DRI) Gamal Nasir symbolically handed over the book to the Governor of North Sumatra, Edy Rahmayadi at the Governor's Office, recently. The Governor of North Sumatra himself greatly appreciated the planned activity. "We really support this activity", said the Governor of North Sumatra. The handover of the book was witnessed by the Chairman of the North Sumatra DRI, Nawal Lubis, the Deputy Chair of the North Sumatra DRI Khairul Mahalli, the North Sumatra DRI Expert Council Tonny Silvaraj, Head of North Sumatra Plantation and Tourism Head of North Sumatra.
