The 36th Indonesian Trade Expo Digital Edition (TEI-DE) managed to record a transaction achievement of US$802.38 million or around Rp21.1 trillion on the third day of implementation. The Ministry of Trade believes the transaction target of US$1.5 billion can be achieved. “During the three days of the 36th TEI-DE, 41 MoUs have been signed. The total value of the signing of the MoU is US$802.38 million and was carried out with 12 countries," said Director General of National Export Development of the Ministry of Trade Didi Sumedi in a press release, Sunday (10/24/2021). This was conveyed by Didi after witnessing the signing of the latest memorandum of understanding with Italy for a transaction worth US$200,000.
The TEI-DE event with the theme 'Reviving Global Trade' was officially opened by President Joko Widodo on a hybrid basis in Jakarta on Thursday (21/11). This international-scale exhibition is scheduled to last for 14 days online from 21 October to 4 November 2021 and the product showcase will be held until 20 December 2021. “The Ministry of Trade appreciates the Indonesian Ambassador to Italy and his staff for their support and efforts in opening new business opportunities. in Italy. It is hoped that this can increase trade cooperation between Indonesia and Italy," said Didi. Didi also appreciated Indonesian business actors who had signed the MoU. Meanwhile, the Indonesian Ambassador to Italy Esti Andayani hopes that the signing of this MoU can be an incentive for other business actors in Indonesia to market their products to Italy. "It is also hoped that the promotional efforts carried out together with the Directorate General of National Export Development can continue in the future," he said.
