The Ministry of Trade stated that it was ready to revive global trade which had experienced sluggishness through the 36th Trade Expo Indonesia Digital Edition (TEI-DE). To that end, the Ministry of Trade through the Directorate General of National Export Development seeks to improve the quality of the 2021 TEI-DE implementation. This was stated by the Director of Export Product Development Miftah Farid in his remarks at a press conference held online yesterday, Tuesday (19/10). “TEI-DE 2021 will provide more convenience and convenience through the concept of a digital catalog (electronic catalog). It will be more flexible for participants and visitors to display and explore information on various superior products of Indonesia. That way, interactive activities between sellers and buyers will run better," said Director of Export Product Development Miftah Farid Miftah, in a written statement, Wednesday (20/10).
The TEI-DE platform, added Miftah, is also more feature-enhanced. Websites become easier to use with less bandwidth so access becomes easier and faster. The forum in the series of TEI activities was also updated, by presenting the Ministers of Trade from friendly countries, such as Singapore and the Philippines, as well as presenting the Halal Trade Forum. During the exhibition, an online link will be provided between TEI and the Indonesian Pavilion at the World Expo Dubai as a cross-reference for various Indonesian export products. These links will open up greater opportunities to increase trade, tourism and investment into other international markets.
"This linkage is expected to be able to improve Indonesia's nation branding abroad, which reflects Indonesia's readiness to collaborate and cooperate with various countries," said Miftah. This year, the series of activities at TEI begins with the Trade, Tourism & Investment (TTI) Forum which is scheduled for October 21, 2021. Still in the series of TTI Forums, the Business Forum will be held on October 25, November 4, 2021, which will discuss technical issues related to trade and other sectors. The TTI Forum also provides individual consultation facilities in Business Counseling on October 25–November 3, 2021 regarding export opportunities and problems faced by business players in order to access and penetrate foreign markets.
