IMACE Facilitate Export Information

Head of the Food Division of the West Kalimantan Food Crops and Horticulture Agency, Doni Saiful Bahri, said that currently, information related to exports is very easy because farmers and agribusiness players only need to use the IMACE application. "Currently, export activities continue to be facilitated by the government. The Ministry of Agriculture through the results of the Barantan innovation has prepared a map application for potential agricultural export commodities or IMACE (Indonesia Maps of Agricultural Commodities Export). Farmers and business actors in the agricultural sector can only use it," he said in Pontianak, Tuesday.
He explained that the application could bridge the empowerment of agricultural exports because it brought together agribusiness actors with farmers in the main commodity centers. "IMACE presents agricultural export data information in real-time computing. In addition, this application also provides mapping data on potential export agricultural commodities in central areas and becomes input for community empowerment," he said. He mentioned that agriculture is a great nation's potential and must have clear and systematic steps. Then the use of digital media must be able to be used so that agricultural information and data can be more easily and quickly accessed. "So with the presence of IMACE in two web-based and android-based application platforms, it can be accessed anytime and anywhere. So everything is getting easier," he said.

He said that related to exports, the West Kalimantan Provincial Government through the West Kalimantan Food Crops and Horticulture Service began to focus on developing a number of superior commodities for export purposes. "So far, food production is no longer just to meet our own consumption needs, but far from that, how do we in this area deal with several leading commodities that have the potential to be produced for export purposes. For that we have started to direct and focus on developing a number of superior commodities for export purposes," he said. .
He explained that the focus of developing superior commodities for export purposes would also be a flagship program, especially in increasing quantity and quality and increasing types of commodities that have potential for export purposes. "West Kalimantan has great potential and we can produce many types of commodities for export purposes, such as rice commodities, especially special rice and secondary crops, horticultural commodities such as durian, oranges, avocado sinka, tubers, aloe vera, dragon fruit and others, as well as plantation and agricultural commodities and farm," he explained.
