Risk-Based OSS System Able to Boost Investment Realization up to 16.2 Percent

Deputy for Investment Climate Development at the Ministry of Investment/BKPM, Yuliot said that through the implementation of a risk-based Online Single Submussion (OSS), it supports the acceleration of investment realization in Indonesia, where there is a growth of up to 16.2%. Yulio said, in 2020, which was the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, Indonesia's investment realization reached Rp210.7 trillion in the first quarter, this number also decreased in the second quarter to Rp161.9 trillion. Then Yuliot compared this with the realization of investment in the second quarter of 2021, where the realization of investment grew 16.2% or equivalent to Rp. 223 trillion.

"Of course this is an illustration that the efforts made by the government for very structural improvements provide optimism to investors, both domestic investors to invest in Indonesia," he said at IDXChanel Market Review, Tuesday (14/9/2021). According to him, with the government launching a risk-based OSS system, investors from abroad or domestic can provide guarantees of ease in investing. "Fundamental improvements to procedures as well as those related to economic infrastructure and investment will increase investor confidence to carry out investment activities in Indonesia," he continued.

Yuliot explained that in terms of Domestic Investment (PMDN) currently there was an increase of 3.5%, while for Foreign Investment (PMA) it increased 16.8%. "It means that both investors in the context of PMDN and in the context of PMA are very confident to carry out investment activities in Indonesia," he added. The Deputy for Investment Climate Development at the Ministry of Investment/BKPM stated that there are at least 3 investment problems in Indonesia, firstly regulation, secondly business licensing, and thirdly land issues.
