The Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf) Sandiaga Uno encourages the potential of livestock education tourism in Cisande Tourism Village, Sukabumi Regency, West Java. "Here there is already fishery, then there is agro-tourism but the livestock is not yet complete. Therefore, I donated a pair of sheep to Cisande Tourism Village so that it becomes the capital for livestock education tourism," he said as stated in a press statement, Sunday.
During his visit, he said that Cisande Tourism Village has the potential to compete with world-class tourist villages so that it can encourage regional development for the welfare of the people. One of the potentials in the tourism village is livestock education for tourists, such as the cultivation of ornamental fish and catfish. In addition, there are other educational tours such as decorating kites with caping and planting rice.
The village, he said, also has outbound flying fox, archery, river tubing, camping ground, and Bukit Cemara. There are also local cultural values presented through a culinary garden in which there are angkringan, coffee shops, and traditional Cisande cooking class activities.
Tourists, he said, can visit the flip-flops craft production house, the Cisande traditional game production house, the woven bamboo production house, the catfish floss production house, the batik production house typical of Cicantayan District, Sukabumi, as well as the special pangsi clothes. "Cisande Tourism Village is a participant from 1,831 tourist village networks and West Java is a representative of the 50 best tourist villages (Indonesia Tourism Village Award 2021). We hope that this tourist village can develop Indonesia," said Sandiaga.
