The government is preparing Five Super Priority Tourism Destinations (5 DPSP) as part of a series of events at the G20 Summit or Summit in 2022.
Preparations were made including building health facilities, telecommunications and infrastructure.
"The main objectives in improving the quality of the 5 DPSPs are focusing on improving health facilities, integrating data based on geographic information systems and the availability of infrastructure," said Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment (Menko Marves), Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, quoted from his statement on Wednesday (25/25). 8/2021).
He emphasized the importance of preparing 5 DPSPs as part of a series of events at the G20 Summit next year. The five super priority tourism destinations are Lake Toba, Likupang, Borobudur, Mandalika and Labuan Bajo.
"This G20 will be a show venue for participants and tourists towards quality tourism destinations, which are based on environmental conservation, community economic empowerment, and glorification of traditional values," Luhut explained.
Regarding health facilities, the Minister of Health, Budi Gunadi Sadikin, explained about increasing the distribution of health centers and hospitals in 5 DPSPs, as well as intensifying vaccinations.
"Vaccination in 5 DPSPs through data from the Ministry of Health, which is already high in North Sumatra and North Sulawesi. Meanwhile, it is still low in Central Java, NTT and NTB," said Budi.
Telecommunication Infrastructure
Furthermore, the Minister of Communication and Information, Johnny G. Plate, revealed that the government is also accelerating the development of telecommunications infrastructure.
"Regarding internet access, 74 points have been built in Mandalika, 153 points for Labuan Bajo, 123 points for Lake Toba, 1 point for Borobudur and 7 points for Likupang," he said.
All relevant ministries and institutions are said to be coordinating and synergizing, to ensure the acceleration of development and quality improvement in the 5 DPSPs runs optimally.
