President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) guarantees that the government will provide equal access for MSME-based investors and cooperatives, with large-value investors.
According to President Jokowi at the Investor Daily Summit which was attended virtually, Tuesday, in Jakarta, not only large investors and foreign investors, investors from MSMEs and cooperatives also provide job opportunities to the community and play a role in advancing the nation's economy.
Therefore, access and freedom to invest must also be given to MSME-based investors and cooperatives.
"I want to underline that investment should not only be seen as big investors, only big investors, the government will also give equal access to MSMEs and cooperatives," said President Jokowi.
The government, he continued, continues to encourage ease of investment for various parties. The government, he said, has also formed an Investment Acceleration Task Force, which is based on Presidential Decree No. 11 of 2021.
"This task force is tasked with solving problems faced by business actors and encouraging cooperation between large investors and MSMEs," said President Jokowi.
The convenience for MSMEs and cooperatives, said the President, is also provided by implementing a risk-based online single submission which is a reference for all policy makers to issue permits.
"This is in the context of electronic, fast and efficient business licensing," said President Jokowi.
The ease of licensing and business, said the President, has been accommodated in the Job Creation Act. Legislation products using the Omnibus Law method are expected to provide protection for MSMEs and cooperatives, in addition to facilitating licensing.
"The simplification of business licensing at the center and regions, the application of risk-based business permits, and various other incentives are expected to increase the interest of investors, especially from within the country," said President Jokowi.
