“Circular Economy: Maximizing Business through Sustainable Practices”
EIBD (EU-Indonesia Business Dialogue) 2018, is an annual forum of private business and government representatives. The previous years, where the EIBD discussed government regulatory and policy priorities, this year the EIBD discussed about Circular Economy. The EIBD showcased economic models that could change how business operates. The conference was organized by Eurocham and EIBN (IBAI, EKONID, Britcham, Dancham, and IFCCI) with support by AHK, APINDO and KADIN in Jakarta on Thursday, 25th October 2018 at Ayana Midplaza Hotel Ballroom, Jakarta.
The session was started at 10AM by H.E. Karmenu Vella, EU Commissioner for Maritime Affairs, Fisheries, and Environment in front of hundreds of Indonesia locals company delegation, EUs company delegation and youth participants. This conference continued with talk show, Focus Group Discussion (FGD), Workshop, Community Expo and Product Showcase with some national and multi-national speakers. Beside the talk show, FGD, and workshop, the event also continued with a B2B meeting between EU and Indonesia companies. The meeting was also attended by the Minister for Environment and Forestry of The Republic of Indonesia, H.E.Siti Nurbaya Bakar.
After lunch, the conference continued by some words from H.E. Siti Nurbaya Bakar about opportunities from waste and what the young entrepreneurs can do for future. Session continued with talk shows by young entrepreneurs about how to make business from waste. This event was also supported by Kiroyan Partners, Praise, Sinergi Muda, and Waste4Change.
