Generali Indonesia reported a strong year-on-year premium income growth of 25.5% in the first quarter of 2025, reflecting rising public awareness of insurance protection and broader access to its services. According to the company’s financial statement, total premium income reached IDR 1.17 trillion in Q1-2025, up from IDR 937.5 billion in the same period last year. Management highlighted that continuous expansion of distribution channels has played a key role in driving this positive performance.
In addition to higher premiums, Generali Indonesia achieved a significant reduction in claims and benefits expenses. As of March 2025, claims expenses stood at IDR 297.4 billion, down 48.2% year on year from IDR 574.2 billion in March 2024. Looking ahead, the company aims to reach more customers despite challenges such as high medical inflation by implementing a multi-product and multi-channel strategy, strengthening agency networks, distribution partnerships, and corporate solutions, while introducing accessible products such as GEN Pro to expand protection coverage.
