Generali Indonesia, in collaboration with the Ibu Profesional Foundation (YIP), has organized an education initiative to enhance financial and family resilience among mothers in Surabaya. This step was taken in response to the increasing trend of Domestic Violence cases over the past three years, as reported by the Ministry of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection (PPPA). The 2022 data showed a rise in cases to 16,900 from the previous year's 14,752. As part of their commitment to social responsibility, Generali Indonesia partnered with YIP to provide education on family and financial resilience.
The initiative aimed to empower families through communication, interaction, and understanding the importance of insurance for financial resilience. This program aligns with Generali Indonesia's commitment to reducing Domestic Violence rates while supporting the principles of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in education and women's empowerment. This effort not only addresses social issues but also fulfills the company's obligations according to the POJK No.51/POJK.03/2017 regarding Sustainable Finance Implementation for Financial Institutions, Issuers, and Public Companies.
