PT Piaggio Indonesia is set to introduce the Vespa Elettrica as its first electric motorcycle offering in the Indonesian automotive market. Although introduced, the electric motorbike has not yet been officially sold by Piaggio Indonesia. Managing Director and Country CEO of PT Piaggio Indonesia, Marco Noto La Diega, expressed pride in presenting the Vespa Elettrica. He highlighted that the model represents a modern icon of Italian technology, consistently embodying its excellence.
The Vespa Elettrica is powered by a lithium-ion battery, offering a range of up to 100 km in ECO mode and a maximum of 70 km in POWER mode, which features Kinetic Energy Recovery System (KERS) to enhance charging efficiency. The bike can recharge its battery during deceleration. It takes around 4 to 8 hours to fully charge the battery using a standard 220 V outlet, depending on surrounding conditions and battery temperature during charging. The electric motorbike is designed for city driving with a maximum speed of around 67 km/h. It also features VESPA MIA system that connects a smartphone to the vehicle via Bluetooth, offering essential vehicle information and more on its 4.3-inch TFT color display screen.
