Indonesia Pursues Major Global Technology Investments at WEF 2026

Indonesia is actively engaging global technology leaders to attract large-scale investments during the World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting 2026 in Davos, Switzerland. Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto stated that the forum is being used as a strategic platform to follow up on Indonesia–United States trade tariff negotiations while opening broader discussions on investment in the country’s rapidly growing digital economy. Several major technology companies, including Nvidia, Amazon Web Services, DocuSign, CrowdStrike, and Cloudflare, have expressed interest in exploring potential partnerships and investments in Indonesia.

Discussions focused on opportunities in data centers, cybersecurity, and digital infrastructure, with Nongsa Digital Park highlighted as a future hub for Indonesia’s digital economy. Alongside meetings with technology executives, Indonesia also advanced international investment cooperation through talks with the Jordanian Minister of Investment, following up on a memorandum of understanding between Danantara Indonesia and the Jordan Investment Fund. The WEF forum further served as a platform for Indonesia to communicate its economic priorities, with President Prabowo Subianto emphasizing peace, stability, and strong public–private collaboration as key foundations for sustainable growth and shared prosperity.
