A new milestone in the national manufacturing export map has emerged from Bandung, as PT Leaden Indonesia successfully launched its inaugural shipment of electrical components to Japan on Monday, January 19, 2026. The company exported more than 9,000 units of electrical components specifically designed to support heavy equipment operations in the Japanese market. This achievement serves as a testament to the competitiveness of local manufacturing products in meeting stringent international quality standards while marking the company's strategic expansion into the global market.
For association members and industry stakeholders, this success was made possible through the utilization of the Bonded Zone (Kawasan Berikat) facility provided by Bandung Customs. This facility allows the company to optimize logistics flows and raw material management more effectively. Budi Santoso, Head of the Bandung Customs Office, expressed hope that this maiden export would serve as a catalyst for other manufacturing companies in the Bandung area to penetrate international markets. This initiative is expected to drive national export volumes and strengthen Indonesia's position in the global heavy equipment supply chain throughout 2026.
