Danantara Indonesia, the country’s sovereign wealth fund, unveiled an ambitious plan to triple its managed assets by 2030 through strategic consolidation and value creation, senior leadership announced at the World Economic Forum in Davos. Currently managing roughly USD 900 billion in assets, Danantara plans to streamline around 1,068 state-owned enterprises into approximately 221 professionally run entities over the next three to four years, significantly boosting operational efficiency and global competitiveness.
This transformation initiative aims to strengthen long-term value and support Indonesia’s broader economic goal of becoming a high-income nation by 2045. Danantara’s portfolio already includes major firms like Pertamina and PLN, both ranked in the Fortune Global 500, and the fund expects more Indonesian firms to achieve global recognition. The initiative highlights positive momentum for Indonesia’s economic reform agenda and investor confidence.
