Sukabumi’s investment landscape gained fresh momentum as Mayor Ayep Zaki met with Indonesia’s Deputy Minister of Investment and Downstreaming, Todotua Pasaribu, in Jakarta on Tuesday (18/11). The central government responded positively to key proposals, including the development of a Public Service Mall valued at IDR30 billion and an additional DAK allocation of around IDR9 billion, bringing total funding to IDR39 billion. These initiatives are expected to accelerate local development, improve public services, and create a stronger, more structured environment for future investment growth.
The discussion also advanced plans for the Cemerlang Industrial Zone, projected to cover up to 50 hectares. The local government is finalizing revisions and submissions to secure its designation as an official industrial area capable of attracting large-scale investors. Mayor Ayep highlighted that Sukabumi’s long-term development will rely not only on regional budgets but also on broader socio-economic financing, ensuring inclusive and sustainable growth. He expressed optimism that strengthened collaboration between local stakeholders and the central government will drive the city’s transformation and boost its economic potential.
