Many locally produced goods—ranging from soap, shampoo, and perfumes to herbal wellness items—have successfully entered regional and international markets thanks to continuous innovation and improved product quality. Indonesia’s manufacturing capabilities are further supported by globally recognized production facilities operating in the country, enabling large-scale exports to numerous destinations worldwide. This momentum reflects the sector’s growing competitiveness and its ability to meet diverse international standards.
The pharmaceutical sector is demonstrating equally strong progress, with various medicinal products and supplements being exported widely, including to Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and the Americas. Indonesia’s traditional herbal formulations have also gained global interest, supported by the increasing demand for natural and plant-based wellness solutions. Additionally, the country continues to supply essential oils used as raw materials by cosmetic and fragrance manufacturers around the world. According to the Ministry of Industry, these achievements highlight the resilience, innovation, and high manufacturing standards that define Indonesia’s pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries, positioning them to play an even more significant role in global supply chains.
