Indonesia’s capital market is witnessing robust growth, with nearly 20 million individual investors registered as of October 2025—a 58% surge compared to the same period last year. According to the Indonesian Central Securities Depository (KSEI) President Director, Samsul Hidayat, the number of investors has reached 19.15 million, following the addition of around 4.3 million new participants this year through the Single Investor Identification (SID) system. This centralized platform streamlines investor monitoring, ensuring transparency and preventing duplicate identities.
Samsul expressed optimism about the continued expansion of Indonesia’s investment landscape, highlighting the role of collaboration between KSEI and media organizations in promoting public awareness and trust. He underscored the importance of accurate information dissemination to strengthen market participation and encourage more Indonesians to view investing as a path toward long-term financial security. Following a meeting with B-Universe Media Holdings—publisher of Investor Daily—Samsul reaffirmed KSEI’s commitment to building a transparent and inclusive capital market ecosystem that supports sustainable national growth.
