Indonesia continues to assert itself as one of the world’s leading coffee producers, with strong demand from both Asia and Europe. In the first half of 2025, the United States and Belgium were the two largest destinations, receiving 30.8 million kg and 30.3 million kg of Indonesian coffee, respectively. Other major export markets include Germany, the Netherlands, Russia, Egypt, Algeria, Malaysia, China, and Vietnam, highlighting Indonesia’s growing global footprint.
The diverse flavors and high quality of Indonesian coffee, including Arabica Gayo, Robusta Lampung, and Toraja varieties, continue to attract international buyers. Consistent exports help boost the income of farmers and national coffee industry players while opening opportunities for derivative products such as instant coffee, cold brew, and premium processed coffee. By enhancing production quality, global branding, and supply chain efficiency, Indonesia aims to maintain its position as a key player in the global coffee market.
