In October 2025, Indonesia’s export of completely built-up (CBU) motorcycles increased by 11.57% compared to the previous month, reaching 49,009 units, up from 43,926 units in September. However, despite that month-on-month growth, the October figure remained below the number exported in the same month the previous year, which stood at 58,112 units.
Through the first ten months of 2025 (January–October), total exports of CBU motorcycles stood at 459,166 units. In addition to the CBU data, the Asosiasi Industri Sepeda Motor Indonesia (AISI) also reports exports of completely knocked-down (CKD) units and parts: CKD shipments reached 6,977,336 units, and parts reached 113,292,768 units. The data suggests a continued preference for scooters (matic) in both export and domestic markets.
