Non-Mining Exports Value in NTB Increased by 1.45 Million USD

The Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) disclosed the export data for NTB in March 2024. The total export value experienced a notable decrease of 31.56% compared to February, amounting to USD 157,890,000. The majority of NTB's exports, around 98.57%, comprised non-oil and gas mining products, valued at USD 155,627,663. The main export destinations for NTB's products were Japan, with exports worth USD 78.11 million, followed by South Korea (USD 39.35 million), China (USD 38.72 million), the US (USD 803,640), and Puerto Rico (USD 345,840). Other countries collectively received only 0.34% of NTB's total exports, totaling USD 538,339. Despite a decline in mining exports, non-mining exports saw a significant monthly increase. Non-mining exports in March 2024 amounted to USD 2.26 million, marking a substantial 177.99% rise from February's USD 800,447. While there was a monthly increase, there was a year-on-year decrease.

Non-mining exports included various commodities such as fish and shrimp (USD 1,148,283), jewelry/gemstones (USD 446,086), sulfur and limestone (USD 312,775), organic chemicals (USD 209,042), and mangosteen fruits (USD 51,797). These commodities were exported to countries like the US, Puerto Rico, France, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, Hong Kong, Vietnam, China, India, Italy, and others.The BPS data indicated that Indonesia still maintained a surplus in its coffee trade balance in March 2025. Additionally, according to the Ministry of Trade, Indonesia's coffee exports to Egypt ranked first among all countries, reaching USD 92.96 million in 2023.The Ministry of Trade emphasized its commitment to facilitating market access for Indonesian Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to international markets. The government's efforts included the negotiation of trade agreements, with benefits such as reduced or eliminated tariffs, as seen in the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) with Australia. Furthermore, the Ministry pledged continuous support for improving the quality of Indonesian MSME products through training, curation, advocacy, and assistance programs.
