Highlighting Indonesia's role as an Official Partner Country at Hannover Messe 2023, Minister Agus emphasizes the country's commitment to enhancing exports, investments, cooperation, and positioning Indonesia among the top 10 contributors to global manufacturing products. Indonesia's presence at the event reflects its dedication to keeping pace with dynamic global industrial developments and supporting the rapidly evolving innovation ecosystem, targeting various industries including manufacturing, production technology, and energy.
Addressing the opening of the Indonesian Pavilion at Hannover Messe 2024, Minister Agus articulates the goals of the Making Indonesia 4.0 initiative, aimed at enhancing competitiveness across key economic sectors such as electric vehicles, biofuels, and renewable resources. Nine Indonesian companies from diverse industrial sectors participate as co-exhibitors in the Indonesian Pavilion, showcasing innovative products and industrial solutions, with a focus on sustainable and environmentally friendly economic sectors. Minister Agus stresses the importance of strong collaboration among stakeholders, including private sector players, government, academic institutions, and communities, to realize a smart and sustainable industry that benefits current and future generations. Looking ahead, Indonesia projects significant investments in 21 commodities by 2040, totaling USD 545.3 billion, with 23% of energy derived from renewable sources by 2025. Additionally, the government aims to close all coal-fired power plants by 2050, requiring substantial investments of at least USD 1 trillion by 2060, thereby expecting the exhibition to boost Indonesia's industrial sector investments.
