The Lamongan Regency Government is providing support to the Lamongan Regional Bank (BDL) based on the strategic role of the banking sector in helping to boost the local economy, particularly through the provision of business capital to the community. During the Special Senyum Simapan event for the 2023 period held at the Lamongan Sport Center, Bupati Lamongan, Yuhronur Efendi, expressed that BDL should be a source of pride for the community due to its strategic role in supporting the local economy. The regency government will continue to support BDL's performance for the benefit of the community. Bupati Lamongan, also known as Pak Yes, emphasized the importance of strengthening customer service at BDL, suggesting that comprehensive banking services, including customer education, can contribute to the growth of the local economy and the welfare of the community, ultimately benefiting BDL.
Pak Yes highlighted the importance of digitalization as one of the services that should be implemented by BDL. He believes that digitalization will provide speed, convenience, and efficiency for customers, as well as influencing the work patterns of BDL's human resources to remain productive and flexible while ensuring health aspects are considered. According to Deddy Rachmadi Wibowo, the Director of Operations and Business at BDL, the bank's existence is evident from the significant increase in assets, reaching IDR 550 billion by the end of 2023, a 37 billion increase from 2022. The number of savings deposits also saw a rise from IDR 430 billion in 2022 to IDR 480 billion in 2023, indicating an increase of IDR 50 billion. Deddy further highlighted the positive trend in the number of savings account holders, reaching 4,396 by the end of 2023, indicating the community's awareness of the importance of saving for the future. The total number of customers reached 26,925, with a total savings amount of IDR 205 billion, reflecting the strong presence of savings accounts in the Lamongan community.
