The Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (KKP) has successfully expanded the number of Indonesian fish processing companies eligible to export to China, now reaching 544 units. This achievement follows negotiations between KKP and China's General Administration of Customs (GACC), ensuring that Indonesian seafood products meet China's strict quality and safety standards. Recently, GACC approved two additional companies, PT Bahari Biru Nusantara and PT Sentral Benoa Utama, further strengthening Indonesia's seafood export competitiveness.
KKP continues to guide and assist export-ready companies in securing approvals for international markets by ensuring compliance with HACCP and other quality assurance systems. The bilateral Mutual Recognition Arrangement (MRA) between Indonesia and China has facilitated the steady increase of approved exporters, from 386 in 2023 to 544 in March 2025. Key export commodities include seaweed, squid, mackerel, shrimp, and crab, with ongoing efforts to diversify and boost export volumes through collaboration with relevant agencies and the Indonesian Embassy in Beijing.
