Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (KKP) reports indicate that as of December 2023, fisheries product exports amounted to USD 5.6 billion (IDR 87 trillion), below the USD 6.7 billion (IDR 104 trillion) target set for 2023. Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, Sakti Wahyu Trenggono, targets fisheries exports to reach USD 7.20 billion (IDR 112 trillion), expressing optimism in achieving this target with regulated fishing practices.
