Prihasto Setyanto continued, in 2022, the government through the Ministry of Agriculture had intervened in the state budget to support chili production with a total intervention of 7,715 hectares of chili production areas. intervened in a wide variety of areas.


As for shallots, APBN interventions were also carried out to support shallot production in 2022 with a total area of 5,994 hectares which were carried out in various provinces. "In 2022, we will prepare seeds from the remaining budget using soil block seedling innovations that speed up seeding and are immediately ready for planting and are cheaper, faster and better. In 2022 we have provided 10,000,000 seeds that have been distributed, and This hope can also control inflation," he said. The Director General of Horticulture of the Ministry of Agriculture continued, for 2023 the Ministry of Agriculture has also prepared from the APBN allocated for chili an area of 6,000 hectares which are distributed in various provinces, especially in production deficit areas. Likewise for shallots, the Director General of Horticulture has also prepared an allocation for a 2023 shallot production area of 7,132 hectares. "It is hoped that the regency/city and province will be executed soon, so that by the time of National Religious Holidays (HBKN) the onions will be harvested within 2.5 months, for chilies it will be harvested at the fastest 3 months, so if this is actually executed This can control inflation ahead of the fasting month and Eid 2023 HBKN," he said. Prihasto Setyanto added, the Ministry of Agriculture through the Director General of Horticulture will also develop chilies with soil block seeds and prepare 34 million chili seedlings in 2023 and will distribute one million seeds to one province. Likewise for shallots, his party has also prepared the development of shallots with soil block seeds in 2023 with the production of 34 million TSS/shallot seedling in 2020 which will be distributed to all provinces in Indonesia.
