Special Task Force for Upstream Oil and Gas (SKK Migas) stated that as many as 20 domestic companies including local manufacturers supporting the upstream oil and gas industry took part and were members of the Indonesian pavilion delegation to participate in the Oil & Gas Asia (OGA) exhibition in Malaysia. "The Indonesian government through SKK Migas is very serious about guarding and facilitating domestic manufacturers to penetrate regional and global markets," said Head of the Division of Supply Chain Management and Cost Analysis of SKK Migas Erwin Suryadi in a statement in Jakarta, Tuesday. Erwin explained that his party had arranged a meeting time for the participants of the Indonesian pavilion delegation with decision makers from various international oil companies. Oil & Gas Asia is one of the largest oil and gas exhibitions in the Asian region, as well as a forum for exchanging information about the latest technology and trends in the oil and gas industry. The event will be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on September 13-15, 2022. The schedule for organizing Oil and Gas Asia this time is combined with the Malaysian Oil & Gas Services Exhibition and Conference (MOGSEC). Besides being attended by executives of world oil and gas companies, the Oil & Gas Asia 2022 exhibition will also be attended by the Prime Minister of Malaysia, as well as several ministers and officials of the Malaysian oil and gas authority. Meanwhile, from Indonesia, there will be officials from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources and the Head of SKK Migas Dwi Soetjipto. Erwin explained that for the first time the Indonesian government would attend the forum, under one roof with local and national upstream oil and gas industry players. “Together we will wear the red and white badge at the Indonesia Pavilion. We show that the upstream oil and gas industry in Indonesia can compete abroad," he explained.
Erwin said that domestic companies are not inferior to imported products in terms of competitiveness and capability. This advantage was seen in the National Capacity Forum which was held in Jakarta on 27-28 July 2022. He revealed that there are many goods and services of domestic companies used by world-class oil and gas operators who become Cooperation Contract Contractors (KKKS) such as Petronas, Eni, ExxonMobil and Petrochina. "The goods and services of local companies are used because they have succeeded in meeting the standard qualifications of oil and gas operators, which generally have high quality standards," said Erwin. He further stated that SKK Migas has an interest in promoting the best local products to support the upstream oil and gas industry to the global market and is committed to creating multiple impacts for the upstream oil and gas industry for the national economy. The involvement of the Indonesian pavilion in the OGA and MOGSEC 2022 events is a follow-up to the 2022 National Capacity Forum activities. In that forum, SKK Migas selected the 20 best domestic manufacturers to be able to show their flagship products as well as bring together oil and gas companies in Asia Pacific, such as Petronas Malaysia, PTT Thailand, Exxonmobile Singapore and other companies. As many as 20 manufacturers are members of the Indonesian Pavilion, including the Pertamina group (Pertamina Sub Holding Utama, Pertamina Drilling Service Indonesia, and Elnusa), Pertamina Patraniaga, PT Teknologi Rekayasa Katup, PT Luas Birus Utama, PT IMECO Inter Sarana, PT Sagatrade Murni, PT Seamless Pipe Indonesia Jaya, PT Artas Energy Petrogas, PT Meindo Elang Indaah, PT Titian Service Indonesia, PT Dwi Sumber Arca Waja, PT Jotun Indonesia, PT Bukit Baja Nusantara, PT Pelayaran Nasional Ekalya Purnamasari, PT Rainbow Tubulars Manufacture, PT Fajar Benua Indopack, PT Krakatau Steel and Krakatau Pipe Industries, PT Kairos Utama Indonesia, PT Pertamina International Shipping, and PT Epsindo Jaya Pratama.
